"(...) Flesh and obscurity, as we speak of chiaroscuro in painting, because here it's the light of flesh that pierces the darkness of the stage, that of the performers' naked bodies suspended in a disturbing staging where voluptuousness and drama combine, in the manner of the mystical ecstasies sculpted by Bernini. (...) Choreographic and musical scores illuminate each other, creating embodied resonances in the bodies of Régine Chopinot and her performers, all on the verge of animality, all engaged in a tragic hallucination. The choreographer's baroque is made of this very material: flesh exposed, tormented to the point of jouissance, which can be taken as an interpretation of the reality of the contemporary body." Montpellier danse program (June 2003)A show featuring two different choreographic styles, performed alternately: "Flesh" and "Obscure". The musical works are performed at random by the "Europa galante" ensemble.
