"It is often said of agile boxers that they are dancers. This was bound to intrigue Régine Chopinot, an adept of the byways, the seemingly tortuous ones that always end up leading you to the essential.(...) By putting on the gloves, with the same applied simplicity as a pair of slippers, by turning the stage into a ring, she managed to penetrate some of boxing's secret arcana. Capturing sensations, physically and emotionally alive. With the acuity of a mirror gaze, she transformed and inverted the boxer-dancer image into its dancer-boxer reflection."
