"Garage" is the new name of "Les Garagistes", presented from December 5, 2007 in Berlin.Les Garagistes" is a small design office where choreographic mechanics are completely dismantled, a laboratory where new materials are tested and then exploited with the company's dancers. "Les Garagistes" is a place for the freest of discoveries. It's also about constantly returning to the origins of my work. It's an anabasis. (...) There are four of us in all; Maryse Gautier looks for light, its dynamism, its quality, its density, and Gianni Fornet for music. He recycles, recovers, throws away. He sorts. Nicolas Barillot directs the sounds, their colors, sources and amplifications. And I look for the different supports and successive conditions for the expression of the simplest physical and mental gestures. I look for ways to remember and invent. I look for ways to forget, and I go back."
